Banana ice is one of those flavours people either reach for every day or never touch. It is soft and sweet on the way in, then a cold menthol finish cuts through so the banana does not sit on your tongue for too long.
How banana ice tastes
On the inhale you get ripe banana with a slight creamy edge, closer to a banana milkshake than a green banana. It is sweet without being sharp, because there is no citrus or berry fighting for attention. The exhale is where the "ice" part shows up: a cooling agent that leaves your mouth feeling fresh and a little numb if the mix is heavy.
It tends to suit vapers who like dessert-leaning fruit but want something lighter than custard or cream flavours. If you find straight banana cloying, the cooling is what makes it work.
The original POP Stix Banana Ice
POP Vapor sold Banana Ice as part of its POP Stix line, a simple button-free disposable. The old listing said each device gave up to 600 puffs and used 2% salt nicotine, which is 20mg/ml. It did not list the liquid volume or battery size, so we have left those blank rather than guess.
Single-use disposables like the POP Stix were banned from sale in the UK on 1 June 2025. The range is gone, and nothing on this page is for sale.
Getting banana ice from a pod kit
You have two routes, and the right one depends on how much effort you want to put in.
Prefilled pods. You buy a small rechargeable battery once, then click in sealed pods that already hold the liquid. Banana ice is a common option in these ranges. Each pod is capped at 2ml in the UK, the same limit that applied to the old disposables.
Refillable pods. A refillable pod kit has a pod you fill yourself from a 10ml bottle. Banana ice nic salts are easy to find, and you get to pick the strength. UK nic salts go up to 20mg/ml, which matches what the POP Stix used, but plenty of people find 10mg/ml enough once they are used to a pod.
Refilling costs less over time and lets you try different brands' take on banana ice. Prefilled pods are tidier. Either way you keep the battery and only throw away the pod or coil, which is the whole point of the post-ban setup.

Elfliq Banana Ice nic salt
Elf Bar's bottled range includes Banana Ice. Put it in any refillable pod kit and you are close to the old disposable taste, with the strength you choose.
- Prefilled pod
IVG Pro 12 Banana Ice prefilled pod
A clip-in pod with the flavour already inside. Good if you want zero filling and just swap pods when they run dry.
- 10ml nic salt for a refillable pod kit
Bar Juice 5000 Banana Ice nic salt
A nic salt from a range built around bar-style disposable flavours. Good for comparing against the Elfliq take.
Questions people ask
Does banana ice taste like banana sweets or real banana?
Most versions sit in between. You get a ripe, slightly creamy banana that is sweeter than the fruit but softer than foam banana sweets, then the ice takes over on the exhale.
Can I still buy the POP Stix Banana Ice?
No. It was a single-use disposable, and those have been banned from sale in the UK since 1 June 2025. The POP Stix range is discontinued.
Is banana ice too sweet for all-day vaping?
Some people find it heavy after a few hours. Dropping to a lower nicotine strength does not change sweetness, but switching between banana ice and a plain mint pod during the day helps a lot of vapers avoid flavour fatigue.
