Lemon Cake

DessertOriginally POP Stix
Unbranded pod kit with the ingredients that make up Lemon Cake

Lemon Cake was an unusual one. Most disposables in 2022 were fruit, ice or candy, and a bakery flavour stood out. It is also the hardest POP flavour on this site to replace like for like.

A slice, not a sweet

The flavour starts with lemon, but it is the sweet, zesty lemon of drizzle icing rather than a sour sweet. The sponge comes through on the exhale, soft and a little buttery, with a vanilla note in the background. There is no cooling, so it stays warm and rounded from start to finish.

People who like dessert vapes tend to rate it because it is lighter than custard or cream-heavy flavours. It also appeals to anyone who finds fruit ices too cold.

The original POP Stix

According to the old POP Vapor UK shop, Lemon Cake was part of the POP Stix disposable line. The listing gave up to 600 puffs per device and 2% salt nicotine (20mg/ml). It did not mention the e-liquid volume or the battery.

POP Stix have been discontinued, and selling any single-use vape has been against the law in the UK since 1 June 2025.

Getting close with a pod kit

This is where we have to be straight with you. We could not find a well-known UK prefilled pod sold as lemon cake. Prefilled ranges focus on fruit, ice and mint flavours, and bakery flavours rarely make the cut.

That points you to a refillable pod kit. The device has a pod you fill yourself, so you can use any 10ml nic salt you like. Far more dessert flavours exist as bottled nic salts than as prefilled pods, and dessert-style lemons such as lemon sorbet do turn up. A dessert lemon gets you most of the way there.

A few practical points:

  • UK nic salts are capped at 20mg/ml, the same strength the POP Stix used. Some people find 10mg/ml smoother with dessert flavours.
  • Refillable pods hold no more than 2ml by law.
  • Sweet, creamy liquids are harder on coils, so keep a spare.

If you would rather stick to prefilled pods, a lemon-led flavour like lemon lime is available in most ranges. It will taste fresher and sharper than cake, but it covers the citrus side.

Pod alternatives

Pod options that get close to Lemon Cake. Listed for reference only.

  • 10ml nic salt for a refillable pod kit

Pod Salt Nexus Lemon Lime Sorbet nic salt

A dessert-style lemon rather than a sharp citrus. It lacks the sponge but keeps the sweet lemon finish.

  • 10ml nic salt for a refillable pod kit

    Elfliq Sour Lemon nic salt

Covers the lemon half of the flavour with no cake at all. Better for people who mostly liked the zest.

  • Refillable pod kit

Refillable pod kit such as the Uwell Caliburn G5 Lite or Vaporesso XROS 5

Bakery flavours are rare in prefilled pods, so a refillable kit gives you access to the wider range of dessert nic salts.

Questions people ask

Are there any lemon cake prefilled pods in the UK?

We have not found a mainstream prefilled pod sold as lemon cake. Dessert flavours are much more common as bottled nic salts, which is why a refillable pod kit suits this one.

What does a lemon cake vape taste like compared to lemon tart?

Lemon cake leans on the sponge, so it tastes softer and more buttery. Lemon tart usually has a sharper curd note and a pastry base.

Do dessert flavours wear out coils faster?

They often do, because the sweeteners and creamy flavourings leave more residue. Expect to change a refillable coil a little sooner than you would with a mint.
